ENT Brasil taking place February 18-20
February 5, 2025
By: Tara Olivo
Associate Editor at Nonwovens Industry
The textile industry has been constantly reinventing itself with innovations and new segments, and one of the most promising is the nonwovens market, which has gained traction in various industries such as personal hygiene, healthcare, automotive, construction, and many others. These materials offer advantages such as lightness, durability and versatility, and are widely used in products like masks, diapers, sanitary pads and wet wipes. To highlight the importance of this segment, the Nonwovens and Technical Textiles Exhibition (ENT Brasil) will promote the sector both nationally and internationally. Originally planned as a dedicated space within FebraTêxtil, ENT Brasil has gained prominence and established itself as a standalone event. This edition will share the Expo Center Norte pavilion with FebraTêxtil 2025 from February 18-20, while maintaining its independent identity and programming. While FebraTêxtil provides a comprehensive overview of the textile industry, showcasing new developments in yarns, fabrics, knits, and prints, along with fashion shows, exhibitions and lectures, ENT Brasil will bring together national and international exhibitors. Companies from Turkey, China, and India will present cutting-edge technological innovations and products in nonwovens, reinforcing the event’s role as an essential platform for industry development in Brazil. During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of products, from nonwovens for the healthcare and personal hygiene sectors to solutions for the automotive, construction and personal protection industries. The exhibition will also feature machinery and technologies dedicated to nonwoven production, providing a comprehensive overview of this expanding market. The importance of ENT Brasil for the industry is highlighted by specialists in the field. Ricardo Rossi, a textile engineer specializing in nonwovens and a technical-commercial consultant for Febratex Group, states: “Until now, there was no trade show in Brazil exclusively dedicated to this sector. We are confident that ENT Brasil will become a reference for the nonwovens and technical textiles industry in Latin America.” The fair will host national and international exhibitors, including companies from Turkey, China and India, which will showcase technological innovations and sustainable solutions for the sector. Key highlights will include products designed for the healthcare, personal hygiene, automotive and construction industries, as well as advanced manufacturing equipment and technology. According to Hélvio Pompeo Madeira, CEO of Febratex Group, the Latin American nonwovens market still has enormous growth potential. “While this segment is already well-established in regions like Asia, Europe, and the United States, South America presents great opportunities. ENT Brasil is essential to boosting the industry and fostering new partnerships and business opportunities,” he says. With the growing demand for sustainable solutions, the event will also address trends such as material recycling and the development of eco-friendly products, aligned with the expectations of an increasingly conscious market. ENT Brasil promises to be a strategic meeting point for professionals and companies looking to explore the opportunities of this rapidly expanding market, positioning Brazil as a key player in the nonwovens industry.
